Children's Day is here, followed by summer break. The weather gets hot fast, and tourist spots are packed. Here are four hidden dangers to watch for.
Sun Exposure and Heatstroke: Kids overheat faster than adults. Bring a portable fan, cooling towels, and plenty of water. Force water breaks even if they say they're not thirsty. Watch for flushed cheeks, irritability, or sluggishness.
Post-Ride Heatstroke: Going from AC directly into 35°C heat is a shock. Find a shaded transition spot for 5 minutes and drink water before stepping outside.
Playground Hazards: Splash pads need water shoes (athlete's foot risk). Trampoline parks cause the most ER visits — one jumper at a time, no flips. Ball pits are hygiene nightmares.
Losing Your Child: Take a photo of their outfit that morning. Designate a meeting point. Write your phone number on their wrist. Teach them to find a staff member if lost. For younger kids, use a safety leash — I'd rather be judged than lose my child.
